Stev Stegner is the Former Mayor of Forest Lake and has a passion for business.  Stev opened Rapid Press Printing in the late 1980's and has found the best way to improve his business is by helping improve the community.  He has served on multiple boards including the ISD 831 Community Ed Advisory Board.  Served as President of the Forest Lake Economic Development Authority as well as currently serving on the leadership team for the FL Business Retention and Expansion Committee which is a partnership with the University of Minnesota.  Stev holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration and will give a lively presentation on goal setting.  This is not your typical "make a list and cross it off"  presentation.  Get ready to be more productive, have more free time and find more fulfillment in your life!

Andrea earned her BS in Dietetics from Mankato State University and specialized in child nutrition. After working at Abbott NW for 18 months, she learned she didn't like working with sick people and moved to the food service world where she spent 20 years before buying an insurance agency 6 years ago. About three years ago, Andrea found her true passion and a way to put her education back to use when someone introduced her to the Transitions Lifestyle system through MarketAmerica. In the past year, Andrea was actually coached through the program, lost 20#, 8% body fat, and has coached 15 others to weight loss success. Her average client loses 20# and 4% body fat during the 12 week program. . . . .

Featured Speaker - Dr. Jamie Rassmussen, DC, Health Path Chiropractic on "Stress Management Health"

Dr. Jami Rassmussen, D.C. grew up in Breezy Point, MN. (Yes, people actually live there!) He attended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, where he graduated with a BA in Theater and Chemistry. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Jami had attended Northwestern Health Sciences University. There Dr. Jami focused on learning the most effective and honest way of getting people well. He equipped himself with knowledge of a wide variety of topics, including receiving certifications in both Acupuncture and as an EMT. Dr. Jami is currently teaching Anatomy and Physiology and Human Biology at Rasmussen College in Blaine, MN. Dr. Jami is married, has a beautiful toddler, and another on the way. He owns Health Path Chiropractic and Wellness Center, located in Lino Lakes, MN.

The Stress management talk is very informational & educational. It is a brief lecture that is jam packed with tools to better people's health. Many take away very useful information & make little changes necessary to live happier, healthier, lives. The talk covers the different types of stress & ways to combat them; it touches on chiropractic and has some quick, easy, exercises that will be demonstrated during the lecture.

This Months Topic: Round Table Discussion - Business Challenges

Being organized is the key to streamlining your business and keeping you focused on your priorities. This month we will break out into small groups and discuss your most pressing business issues, sharing ideas to help make your business run more efficiently.

  • Do you need ideas on a filing system, if a client calls, how long does it take for you to find their file and look at their information?
  • Need help with a list on contacts for emails, direct mailings, etc for a marketing campaign?
  • Do you have a difficult client and want suggestion on how to work with them?
  • What is your goal for your business and what is holding you back?

These are just a few ideas for discussion, bring your own business challenges, or solutions you have developed to share with others.

Featured Speaker - Tammy Kasprowicz with OSI Physical Therapy

Want to prevent osteoporosis or are you already experiencing bone density loss? Stature, nutrition, and physical activity play a part getting this disease. Learn how to maintain or improve bone density to reduce your chances of developing osteoporosis. This lecture will also be beneficial in rehabilitating women who have suffered fractures as a result of the disease. Learn about postural education, exercises for strength and flexibility, body mechanics and balance exercises.

Member Spotlight: Lesa Stegner - Timeless Elements Med Spa and Laser Center

Lesa is a Nurse Practitioner and the owner of Timeless Elements. She started her business 2 1/2 years ago and quickly out grew her space. Just last November she moved to her new location at 608 Lake St, in Forest Lake, more than tripling her space.

Previously she worked as a RN while going to school to be a nurse practitioner, worked in a primary care clinic for 3 years, and worked 7 years in Urgent care.

Sydney's presentation will show how being able to settle into our bodies and become present and centered leads to more effective responses and greater success. Her focus will be to help each of us find and tap into capabilities we have already developed for easier and quicker access to our wisdom and strengths, especially when we are under stress. She will also help us experience how it feels in our bodies when we are grounded and centered versus when we are not, and guide us in a physical practice to bring ourselves back to center when we realize we have been “emotionally hijacked”. She will leave us with specific ways to continue to develop our ability to be calm, centered and connected to ourselves and our strengths in difficult situations.

Sydney may have us do some very light physical movement so please bring shoes without high heels or be prepared to remove your shoes.

Flexible Spaces is a custom modular closet organizing system that can be used to utilize any unused space in closets, garages, pantries, basements and offices.
